Local heroes are the people that work and live in the communities we call home. They put their lives on the line, rise above and beyond in a time of need, give their time to a cause to make our lives better or are just good people willing to help when they are needed. Some doing it and not even knowing the positive impact they are having on a life. Our collection of "Local Hero" focuses on these people.
This project celebrates law enforcement professionals who have chosen to be a very important part of our communities in so many ways. Not just our local police officers but university or college police or even your local shopping mall security. In every way they help to keep our public places, homes and our children safe. These local heroes are there every day, every hour putting their lives on the line to make sure we can live free and safely. Many even take their personal time to help fund raise for local charities and speak to our children on how to keep safe when we are not there for them... now that's a local hero!
We have designed a few neat features into this mini-project that will make it even easier to use and re-use. These features include:
- Police shield sign shape and banner that accepts V-Carving or even the addition of raised text.
- Sign shape has a flat bottomed dished center so it will acccept almost any model and will also let you get the most "Z" depth out of the added model.
- The police hat has been modeled to have multiple uses. Add some V-Carving of a police badge and it is a police hat or V-Carve some text for a transit driver that get your children to school safely every day.
