Some say "the orchid is Mother Nature's masterpiece" so you can see why some relate its beauty to a mother's love.
A project that contains an orchid model seemed to be a very obvious addition to the Mother's Garden series of projects. A ribbon that can be easily v-carved with children's names, dates or an event seemed to fit right in, so we included it. Overlaying your layout on the long textured tile will make for a great piece of wall art to be shared with visitors, as a gift or just for yourself.
Feeling ambitious? We made the textured tiles so that with a bit of creativity and your woodworking chops you could create a planter, memory box or a headboard for a bed.
We have designed a few neat features into this project that will make it even easier to use and reuse. These features include:
- the ribbon will accept v-carving or connect two together to make a longer ribbon.
- The engraving plate recess can be added to the engraving plaque to create a dished center so it will accept almost any model and will also let you get the most "Z" depth out of the added model.
If the beauty of the orchid can be seen in your mother or your memories of her then this project may be perfect for you.
