Our Aspire demo... in case you missed us.

Just in case you missed it, we put together a 17min video of the Aspire demo we presented at the 2014 Vectric User Group meeting.  This version has a bit more content then we were able to do live, so even if you saw it once you just might want to watch it again.

We take the Western Saloon No.2 mini-project and its Project Sheet, as reference, to demonstrate how quick it is to use our mini-projects in Aspire 4.5.  Before the end of the video we hack this project using models from the Western Saloon No.1 mini-project and show you some basic tooling on the layout.

This video will be handy to watch if you are new to mini-projects or Aspire, want to understand how better to use your existing mini-projects or are just interested in CNC.

In the wild at the 2014 Vectric UG Meeting!

We were pretty excited (that's an understatement) to be at the 2014 Vectric User Group meeting this year!  This was our first visit and won't be out last.

The event was packed with great information and excited users!  You could feel the excitement in the air created by the users anticipating what might be shared over the course of the next 2 days.

The user base for the Vectric line of software is a pretty passionate bunch.  You can't help but get caught up in the community feeling.  Everyone was was very welcoming and interested in what CNCminiProjects was up to.

So great to actually meet some of our "Weekend CNC Warriors" in person.  Thanks for all the great feedback and ideas!!!

The Vectric team (Brian, Ed, James, Rebecca and Sarah) put on some great presentations.  Unleashing, not only tips and tricks, but some pretty interesting features that we will be seeing in the upcoming new releases of Aspire and V-Carve Pro.

During the breaks and lunches there was a buzz of information being swapped, ideas shared and connections being made.  If you are new to Vectric or are an old hat this is an event you might not want to miss next year!

We know we won't!

Keep an eye on the official Vectric site for more pictures... we were so interested in what was being shared that we neglected to take a bunch of pictures... sorry.

Hack of the Week No.22

The great thing about our mini-projects is that you can mix and match the models or add in your own.

Our weekly mini-project hack uses models from 2 or more mini-projects.

The 2014 Vectric User Group meeting is happening next week... and we can't be any more excited!!! This year, for the first time, we will be there... oh yeah!

We couldn't help ourselves and had to hack together this spiffy user group sign for the occasion.  It was put together using models from 3 different mini-projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on the sign is called:

  • Iskoola

Get ready for a great learning experience, a bit of networking and lots of inspiration!!!!  Hope to see you there!
