Hack of the Week No.104

For those of you that are a fan of the Mother's Garden themed projects you surely will appreciate this one.  We only used 2 models to create this hack: the daisy in the background is the same as the other just flipped and scaled.  Change up the simulated v-carving to create a customized layout for a wedding, housewarming gift or to fit your needs.

This "Mother's Love" wall decoration or brooch was created using models from these projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called:  Palatino Linotype

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

Why not hack together your own layout mixing and matching models from other projects or from your own library!  For some great inspiration check out our  hacks page!

Hack of the Week No.103

This one is for the kids!  The perfect little project to help get the little ones excited about CNC.  A special bedroom door sign that they can help you finish.

We understand that some children, and a few adults, may be a bit impatient, so to speed up the process toolpath the dish shape and flower, v-carve the child's name, and then do a quick profile cut to cut the sign shape.  Maybe even make a couple just in case there is a painting mistake.. :)

This "childrens door sign" was created using models from these projects:

The font we used to simulate the v-carving on this layout is called:  Candara

Note - This hack was assembled in Aspire V8 for presentation purposes.  It could have been done in VCarve Pro V8 or VCarve Desktop.

This little door sign was created using a blank from a local craft store and the Dish Shapes No.1 CNC Project.
